In her third installation, APB speaker Regina Holliday hosted the third art and medical conference “Cinderblocks 3: The Partnership with Patients Continues” last week. The event, which is a continuation of the message of the Walking Gallery project, helps artists and medical experts reflect on how to foster the partnership between patient and doctor.
More than 1,000 healthcare professionals, patients and family members are participating in the Planetree International Conference on Patient-Centered Care, held at the Boston Marriott Copley Place in Boston, Massachusetts from October 11-14. With many speakers sharing their groundbreaking insights on healthcare at the event, such as Dr. Kevin Pho, the highly anticipated closing keynote is record-breaking endurance athlete and sports journalist Diana Nyad.
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and American Program Bureau would like to take the time to recognize the speakers who have faced the challenges of cancer in some form. Here is another #50ReasonsWhyAPB is proud to work with speakers who share inspiring, educational stories of their fight with the disease.
The Social Security Amendments of 1965, or the legislation responsible for Medicare and Medicaid, provided affordable medical care for elderly and low-income Americans. Many of APB’s healthcare speakers can weigh in on this meaningful milestone in the healthcare community.
Charitable organizations are meant to benefit those in need. However, the government recently discovered that four cancer foundations have used their given cause as an opportunity for personal advantage.
“We have worked with some of our speakers since we first went into business and because of their loyalty and dedication, we would like to show our appreciation and support by giving back to some of their charities as well as others we feel have made an impact over the last 50 years.” – Robert Walker
BIG NEWS: It is American Program Bureau’s 50th Anniversary! We are celebrating all year long with #50ReasonsWhyAPB, brand new videos, gift card/book giveaways, charity donations & much more!
